Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador’s 2014 Gros Morne Theatre Festival
Auditions for Gros Morne Theatre Festival are scheduled for Corner Brook, on Friday, November 15th at Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. and in St. John’s on Sunday, November 17th at the L.S.P.U. Hall between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
TNL’s Gros Morne Theatre Festival is a professional repertory season in the community of Cow Head at the north end of the Gros Morne National Park that takes place annually between the months of May and September. Six plays in rep, three on the main stage in the Warehouse Theatre and three in the Ethie Room at the Shallow Bay Motel.
It will be a group audition and all are requested to bring any and all musical instruments that you play. If you are a singer, please have one song prepared – hint – the two musical shows are heavily influenced by Newfoundland music; traditional and recent!
As a group audition you will be required to audition as an ensemble, take part in group exercises and possibly read cold. You are invited to bring along one monologue or part of a monologue no longer than 30 seconds. You may or may not be asked to present depending on time constraints.
In attendance on behalf of Theatre Newfoundland Labrador will be Artistic Director Jeff Pitcher, Musical Directors Allison Crowe and Stephanie Payne and in Corner Brook, Artistic Associate SaraH McDonald.
To book a place please contact TNL’s Assistant Administrator Natasha Butt or call: (709) 639‐7238
