Join craftsperson and designer Jessica Waterman for a two day workshop that will focus on creating products that reflect the unique features of the Gros Morne Region.
History, weather, the environment, cultural traditions, local industry – they all help make Gros Morne the special place that it is. In this workshop you will learn how to develop a marketable product that builds on these features and helps you understand the client.
Bring some special things to the session – some of your work, and other things: maybe a picture of an uncle with a boatload of fish, a tool or piece of furniture your ancestors or neighbors made, a quilt done by your grandmother, your favourite Newfoundland object or
anything from nature that inspires you.
Cost: $50 for 2 days, lunch & snacks included.
Place: Woody Point Town Office
Date: January 17 and 24
Time: 9 am to 4 pm
