Gros Morne National Park’s newest Craft Resident arrives today in Woody Point.
Amanda McCavour is a Toronto-based artist who works with stitch to create large-scale embroidered installations. She is interested in thread’s assumed vulnerability, its ability to unravel, and its strength when it is sewn together.
Amanda will be giving an artist talk in Woody Point at the Artist’s Residence on Thursday 22 January at 7pm. Admission: free
A two-day workshop will be offered 30-31 January at the Town Hall in Woody Point.
