Registration Fee: $50
A metal piercing workshop where students will learn how to cut delicate shapes with a jewelers saw. Participants will get to cut their own shapes out of flat sheets of metal or from found coins and will be able to practice this technique. In this workshop we will discuss imagery, technique and form. With playful exercises, we will explore metal cutting through the lens of collage. Participants will come out of the class with small metal objects based on silhouettes or graphics. These pieces of metal could be combined with found objects or incorporated into different pieces.
